This weekender is run by Jive Addiction. They also have a lower-key event in Scarborough, and several overseas holidays. Skegness is one of the few weekenders where there is a good following of blues dancers, and reliable blues music for at least a good proportion of the weekend. Jive Addiction also have a facebook group.
The next Skegness weekender is in September, but if you’re not booked, you might have to search for a ticket!

Whilst the style I dance could be called Smooth_jive, or Jango it's really just either slotted modern jive, or some ugly fusion of tango and blues. People who teach this sort of style include Amir, Jim and Nicky, Simon & Nicole (and probably Lee in Hastings)). Just by using the name smooth jive does not make a teacher any better though - ymmv.
